time.to.start.

(this is a post from my previous blog, but I am starting over.)

I have finally decided that it is time for me to start blogging. Time to start organizing my thoughts. Time to start figuring out who I am through my words.

Since I don't have much time (ha!), I'm going to keep this short and sweet with numbers.

ONE YEAR LEFT.
I am pursuing a degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management, with an emphasis in Meeting & Event Management. My guess is that you're probably going to ask if I want to be a wedding planner. My answer is no, no, no. At this point, I don't have it all figured out, but I'm currently leaning towards either non-profit event planning or corporate event planning for a larger company.

THREE YEARS TOGETHER.
My boyfriend, Tyler, and I have been together since just before I graduated high school. It's been a long, bumpy road, but I still love him like I did when I was just 18 years old.

ONE PERSON.
My best friend, Brandi. I have a lot of close friends, distant friends, acquaintances, but this girl is definitely the one I can't live without. She takes me down from my high horse when I've got a big head and then puts me back up there when I'm feeling insufficient. She straightens me out and sometimes I'm quite sure that she knows me better than I know myself.

NINETEEN.
At the age of 19, I started to really love fashion. I just wish that I lived in a place where if I wore something fashionable out, I wouldn't get nineteen (?) unnecessary stares.

SEVEN.
Number of unfinished books on my dresser. I truly love to read even when it take me much too long to finish a single book. I sometimes tend to read cliche books, but it's whatever. To list a few: Silver Linings Playbook, Perks of Being a Wallflower, Kisses from Katie, and Pride and Prejudice.

THIRTEEN.
Things I want to learn and do with my life because I'm obviously still figuring it all out. Fashion, marketing, event planning, graphic designing, blogging, merchandising, becoming a professional shopper, sewing, traveling across the US, traveling throughout the world, living in Chicago, trying too many foods, and writing.

-------------------------------------------

Even if no one ends up reading my blog, I think I'll be fine. Yes, I'll probably take it personally because I'm an emotional girl, but I know that this will better me in the end (if there is an end to my blogging). I hope to use it as a stress reliever and a better use of my time.
